In my opinion, LiftMaster makes some of the highest quality garage door operators available. The Liftmaster 3800 Jackshaft Garage Door Opener is designed for garages and unique applications that don't allow for a traditional garage door opener. Low clearance or cathedral ceilings are ideal installations for the Jackshaft operator. It mounts to the front wall of the garage and turns your torsion bar with ultra-quiet 24V DC motor performance requiring no rails or ceiling obstructions. You can use the space above your garage door for storage instead. A nice feature of the Jackshaft is the optional EverCharge battery backup system that reliably opens door even when the power goes out. Designed for residential sectional doors only, up to 14 feet high or 180 square feet.
